What if I have absolutely no upper body strength?
No need! A typical gym would not require you to be at a certain level of “fit” to join and neither do we! The goal is to get you to where YOU want to be- your starting point is irrelevant! What matters is that you start in the first place!

How do I sign up for class and which class do I start with?

  • Visit our booking site (Click the “SIGN UP” tab above) and create an online account. This will allow you to sign up and manage classes as well as payments and more.
  • If you are completely new to pole the best class to begin with is “Intro to Pole”. In this class we will cover the fundamentals of pole dance. You will learn proper technique of basic spins, transitions, body rolls and walking styles.
  • All of our off-the-pole classes are also great for beginners! (Chair dance, Stretch and strengthen, floorwork)
  • If you're unsure of which class to take or have any questions, feel free to call or text (925-470-7991) or email (rockitpole@gmail.com) and we will be happy to assist you!

I’m too shy for group classes but I want to try! Do you offer private lessons?

We understand that it can be very intimidating to take a pole class. For those too shy to start with group lessons or those who learn better one on one, we recommend our affordable private lessons. You can find more information under "pricing".
Private lessons are also perfect for those with specific goals or those wanting to learn things that aren’t regularly taught in group classes!

What should I wear to classes?

Your attire while attending a class will depend on the class you take.

Pole Dance REQUIRES skin-to-pole contact, so we recommend wearing shorts (as short as you’re comfortable with) and a close fitting top. For certain Pole classes such as routine based classes we also recommend wearing leg warmers and/or knee pads.

Chair Dance, Lap Dance, Pole Fitness and Floorwork classes do allow for workout clothes (leggings, yoga pants, etc.). We also recommend knee pads for Floorwork and Chair/Lap dance classes.

If you’re not sure what to wear, just wear something you can move comfortably in. We always encourage you to wear what you are comfortable in!

ABSOLUTELY NO NUDITY is allowed at any time.

DO NOT WEAR: Lotion, Vaseline or any form of body oils the day of your class, it will leave residue on the poles that are very difficult to remove and you will not be able to grip the pole which can be hazardous. Our first priority is your safety and the safety of your fellow students, so please be mindful to yourself and others and do not wear the day of class.

We DO NO ALLOW any hand/arm jewelry to come in contact with the pole as it could damage/scratch the poles leaving rough edges which can cut our skin. Not to mention your jewelry can become damaged from the contact on the pole. RockIt Pole is not responsible for lost or damaged property, so PLEASE be sure to remove all jewelry prior to class.

Can I bring a friend?
Sure! Have your friend create an online account and sign up for whichever class you want! We require an online account for everyone who attends class. NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED, including but not limited to: friends not participating, significant others, and children.

Can I take Pictures/Videos?
We allow pictures and videos, as long as you let anyone else in the way know.

If you are taking a routine based class we do reserve time at the end of class to record, at which time we give all students the option to participate.

We have been given the express consent from our students for all photos/videos that are included in to be posted on our website and social media accounts.

We aim to keep our studio a safe space for all of our students and for whatever reason our students have to not want to be recorded or photographed.

Do you offer practice time?

We hold open gym sessions from time to time for our students to come and practice all the cool moves they learn during class! This is uninstructed time for you to practice what you’d like with your friends! We also have assisted pole practice which is just like open gym, but with an instructor working one on one with you!

What about Parties?
We offer pole parties all the time! You can have a memorable and unique birthday, bachelorette, or girl’s night out with our completely custom party options! Click on our “Parties” tab for more information, or contact us directly to learn more!
